APTOS High School June 8 - June 12, 2026 The Junior Sheriff’s Academy is a no-cost weeklong summer program designed for incoming 6th and 7th graders to experience the world of law enforcement in an engaging and interactive way. Hosted by the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, the academy provides hands-on activities such as physical training, CSI techniques, first aid and CPR, defensive tactics, and a mock police investigation. Students also get to witness a K9 demonstration and tour a local fire department, giving them a broader understanding of public safety roles.
